Conference schedule:
8:30 a.m. Conference check-in begins
8:50 a.m. Welcome and Introduction of Speaker
9:00 a.m. Power Prospecting: Finding Your Planned Giving Opportunities for the Future. One of our greatest challenges is identifying and researching individuals with the capacity to give a significant gift today, tomorrow, or through their estate. In “Power Prospecting,” Jay explores how to find these people within your constituency, throughout your community, and around the world. This workshop will explore the key indicators of capacity and propensity, uncover the resources that will increase your effectiveness and efficiency, and show you how to learn what your current and future donors are willing and able to do to make your mission possible.
10:30 a.m. Twenty Questions! If you could ask any questions of your donors, what would they be? What do you really want and need to know? Some questions bring us deeper, more revealing, and more pertinent answers. And, most importantly, they bring us closer to those who are contemplating the legacy they wish to leave behind. In this interactive session, we will compare notes on the top twenty questions that will take you from guessing to knowing about your donor and within inches of securing their transformational support.
11:45 a.m. Lunch
1:00 p.m. Stand Out! Is your daily work bringing you closer to your big hairy audacious goal? Do you need a big dream reboot? In the battle for our most precious resource and nonrenewable resource—time—knowing what we want may be our most important consideration. Jay leads an exploration to rediscover our biggest dreams, confront our darkest fears, and push beyond the daily obstacles and temporary economic setbacks to shine in our organizations and beyond.
